Take It Outside: Publish Your Nature-Based Homeschool Journey

A live virtual workshop for homeschool families ready to turn their outdoor learning into a published resource.

You’re already teaching outside — now let’s help you package that wisdom into a curriculum or book other families can use.

Who this is for: Homeschool parents who use outdoor, nature-based, or Charlotte Mason-style learning and want to document, structure, and potentially publish what they’ve already created — for their own families and for others.

What you’ll get

🎁 Prioritize Nature, Reclaim Childhood, and Experience a Fuller Life by Ginny Yurich · 1000 Hours Outside — included free with your registration, available for pickup at our Raleigh or Cary LearningRx center.

Plus a 2-hour live virtual workshop covering:

  1. From backyard to blueprint — how to identify what you’re already teaching and shape it into curriculum form
  2. Structure & story — giving your curriculum a narrative arc that makes it usable and publishable
  3. The publishing path — CaryPress and WABF walk you through options: self-publish, co-publish, or submit
  4. Your personal publishing roadmap — leave with a next-step plan specific to your curriculum or book idea

Led by Dr. Ana Starns — who, as a mom, raised her kids on a hobby farm with 30 acres of forest, three creeks, and lots of wild animals — and watched firsthand what happened when her youngest, now 17, traded that world for a concrete jungle. That experience, combined with her work as a cognitive brain-training specialist at LearningRx Raleigh/Cary and as the founder of the Write a Book Foundation, fuels her passion for helping families share their stories with the world.

Investment: $35 Includes the 2-hour live workshop + Ginny Yurich’s book
